You learn something every day! I had never heard of it being called apples but having looked it up, yes it can be called "road apples" or "buns". It is often called all sorts of not very polite names but the more usual name we give it is "manure"! Many thanks for faving the photo. :D

Exactly we call them "Rossäpfel". But sometimes we say "Pferdedung". This is a bit more distinguished :rofl:
